Bridging WR841n and WR542g
Region : Others
Model : TL-WR841N
Hardware Version : V7
Firmware Version : 3.13.9 Build 120201 Rel.54965n
ISP :
I am using the WR841N as my primary router. It is connected to a ADSL modem via the WAN port.
My wireless is on and configured to run as non-broadcast SSID, combined b,g,n secured with WPA2-PSK.
MAC Filtering is enabled. And the router is working just fine for three years now.
I am now trying to extend my coverage by using WDS Bridging and aquired an old WR542G.
Is it even possible to bridge the two?
I will provide any information that is required.
The problem is I have configured WDS on the WR841 to the MAC of the wifi adapter on the WR542 and vice-versa. But I am not asked to input the sequrity details of the primary router when configuring the WR542.
