Internal network very slow

After ~ 1 year using my router I'm copying files from two laptops using the internal network 192.168.x.x for the first time. The nominal bandwidth for the router is 150Mbps, so I believe the transfer should happen at around 18MB/s (considering I'm not using the router for anything else other than checking e-mails and browsing the web).
However the file transfer is happening at exactly 1.6MB/s. I don't understand why. I tried looking at the options in the GUI but couldn't find any configuration that might be related to this internal bandwidth speed.
Can someone please advise?
