My device is connected to my laptop but the utility software can't detect it, pls help.

My powerline is TL-PA6010KIT.

You can access internet but it cannot be detected?
Ensure anti-virus software and firewall are disabled. Try a different computer.

As far as I know, the utility supports the operating system is WinXP/2003/Vista/7 or MAC.
Maybe u can confirm this respect.

Looks like the version released in Dec 2013 supports up to Win 8.1

Notes Added support for Windows 8.1.

Try connecting one of the two powerline adapters to your laptop, plug it into an outlet, then plug the other adapter into the second outlet connected to the same receptacle. Make sure the pairing lights illuminate and open the software afterwards. It should detect at that point.
