TL-WR743ND wireless connectivity
Region : Canada
Model : TL-WR743ND
Hardware Version : V1
Firmware Version : 3.12.20 Build 130109 Rel.37226n
ISP : Not Applicable
Hi,
I have a TP-Link model TL-WR743ND router that I am using as a WISP client router to connect to our main router across the other side of our house.
I had just recently purchased and setup a USB wireless adapter on my laptop because I needed the wired port on the TP Link for another device.
I upgraded the firmware last week from the original firmware but don't know if this is a new problem as I never used its wireless before.
I am having problems with remaining connected to the wireless of the TP-Link. It seems that every 4-6 hours or so the wireless of the TP Link wireless disappears. I can see the other wireless networks around me but I can not see the TP Link wireless. It eventually begins to transmit again but it is annoying listening to internet radio that keeps having its connection dropped.
When I am connected using the wired port I have no problems remaining connected.
My troubleshooting involves turning the router on and off but I have had no success resolving the issue. I have looked at some of its features but don't understand enough of anything it says to adjust it. Everything is pretty much at its default setting and the laptop is about 5' from the router. The adapters signal shows as 100% when it is connected and works amazing until the connection is lost.
Any ideas how I can resolve this issue? I see that the 800 North American customer support number is no longer working.
