Not sure if it can, but I just bought a v2 (installed today) and upgraded to that firmware. It seems to be running fine. The difference I immediately noticed was the USB menu options, but I'm positive that's not what the upgrade is limited to.

Thanks for the reply. Good to hear. It would be helpful if TP-Link would make it clear about software updates. I assume (rightly or wrongly) that you can use the V3 software upgrade as the name of the file seems to
indicate you can.

Can I suggest that any upgrade for the Archer C7 V3 has the V2 removed from its file name. This just causes confusion.
The fact the file has V2 in its description implies that it could be used on the Archer C7 V2 model.

They have little difference on hardware, once there are firmware upgrade, there will be firmware for both V2 and V3. No need to bother yourself with the firmware upgrade, V2 just use V2, V3 just use V3.
