Hello,
I'm using a TD-W8980 the modem homepage looks like this: http://prntscr.com/77xu4c
I was just wondering if someone could explain how the modem calculates the "Max Rate (kbps)". Reason being is I'm on a 8mb/s connection but as you can see it seems to be capped at 4mb/s. Not sure if this is the internet providers doing or my line. Why is it that i get 6624 kb/s in the Max Rate field.

MAX rate is the negotiated rate which should be 8mbps (if your ISP is indeed providing you 8mbps). Try to use ADSL 2+ mode instead of GMT.d.

You should also call your ISP and ask them why you are not getting 8mbps.
