I just replace my old TL-WR1043ND V.1 with archer C7 V.2 and I am dissatisfied. Wifi range 2,4 GHz is much shorter than with old router - I'd say about 15 - 20 % (yes I enabled high transmit power), wifi 5GHz is useless unless I'm in the same room, through wall - NO GO!
I go with replacement because I think that on newer router there be more upnp ports, I can't find data anywhere how many upnp port is available on any of my routers. My problem is with synology disk station, if I want to auto setup router for upnp, I get warning that I have too many ports enabled, so I have to reduce disk station applications. Is there any workaround this problem.
The only bright thing with this router is IP & MAC binding, that's way I stick with TP-LINK.
