o/s is windows 8.1 64bit

It does not find the automantical , when manual finding it it starts to progress in to applying the driver but then few few seconds later itrestarts on me need help finding the function casuing the reset on the system

The adatper causes computer itself to restart after you plug it in?

If you are trying to install the driver, download the driver for Windows 8.1 from the link as below.
http://www.tp-link.com/en/download/TL-WN722N_V1.html#Driver
Try to manually install the driver.

the issue was I had the install disk ultily which some how crashed the o/s while trying to update the driver after removing the program the driver was installed the usb is now working thanks for your reply
