TD-W8968 vs Archer D9 question

I bought an TD-W8968 and I am happy, but I'm planning to upgrade to an Archer D9 to get wifi-ac and better overall performance, but I have a doubt:
TD-W8968: 2 x 5dBi Antenna gain
Archer D9: 3 × 2dBi for 2.4GHz and 3 × 3dBi for 5GHz Antenna gain.
If I want to improve the wifi signal, is the Archer D9 better?
I'm confuse with the specs.
