Please anyone can explain what is the difference about OPERATION MODE 1 AND 2 ?

Unfortunatley Help frame on the right side on web ui report all the same description like this:

Range Extender mode 1 - In Range Extender mode 1, the AP with WDS disabled will relay data to an associated root AP. AP function is enabled meanwhile. The wireless repeater relays signal between its stations and the root AP for greater wireless range. Please input the MAC address of root AP in the field "MAC Address of Root AP".

Range Extender mode 2 - In Range Extender mode 2, the AP with WDS enabled will relay data to an associated root AP. AP function is enabled meanwhile. The wireless repeater relays signal between its stations and the root AP for greater wireless range. Please input the MAC address of root AP in the field "MAC Address of Root AP".

So anyone can explain better about R.E. operation mode?

Thanks for all reply in advance!
