Hi,

My Tp-link Archer D9 (AC1900) was perfectly connecting to both 2.4 & 5ghz on wifi until I updated the driver for the router. After driver update, none of my devices are able to connect to 5ghz wifi. Not the distance issue, since I tried even just near the router itself. It does not even display 5ghz in the available wifi list. I tried changing all available channels (available only from 36 - 48) but to no avail. The settings in the router says Wireless radio enabled. Rest of the settings as below

Hide SSID - not enabled
Security: WPA/WPA2 Personal (Recommended)
Version: WPA2-PSK
Encryption: AES
Mode: 802.11a/n/ac mixed
Channel: Auto
Channel Width: Auto

In network map it says 5 ghz wifi enabled.

Pc runs on Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Try changing your encryption to something other than AES.

1.Look at the panel of D9 and check at whether the two wifi indicator led are both on. If not, maybe the 5GHz wifi model doesn't work.
2.Try to reinstall the driver.

Something is wrong with your available channel range. You say you only have channels 36-48 available? You should have many more than that unless there is some restriction in your country that limits the channel availability to that narrow range.

Hi guys, Led panel displays both 2.4 & 5Ghz led lights, both are lit up. I reinstalled the driver to the earlier version. Now 5GHz display channel 149. But still 5GHz not detecting on Wi-Fi. Any other solutions, guys.? I even did a hard reset but still the same - No 5Ghz Wi-Fi being detected.
