TL-WR1043ND giving slow WAN speeds
Model : TL-WR1043ND
Hardware Version : V1
Firmware Version : TL-WR1043ND_V1_140319
ISP :
Hello,
I have a problem that others experience, and when scouring the internet, no answers have been brought forth, always more questions.
When I connect my computer to my modem I get full speed from my ISP (100Mbps). When I connect only my PC to the router, and the router to the modem, it goes down to 15-20Mbps.
1. I use www.speedtest.net to test the speeds.
2. I'm using CAT5E cables.
3. My PC's network card is a TP-LINK Gigabit PCI Express Network Adapter.
4. My Modem is a Sagemcom
I had this problem with an older firmware version, and the newest which i am currently using.
Weird thing is, last night I had the same problem, and when i turned off wifi broadcasting, I got 100Mbps.Today when I turned on the PC it is suddenly slow and nothing (seemingly) changed.
I tried rebooting my modem and router but to no avail.
Are there any settings i need to adjust ?
Would very much appreciate the help.
Thanks
