Cant set channel wit TL-WA850RE

300Mbps Universal Wi-Fi Range ExtenderTL-WA850RE
There is no way to set the channel from the admin web page tplinkrepeater.net
What's more, the range extender chooses the same channel as the main router.
Surely it would make more sense for the range extender to operate on a separate channel?
Or am I missing something?
