Hi,

We have an small extension to the house - but it used extensive steelwork. I'm looking to use Powerline because the steels ruin wifi to my upstairs office in the extension. However - the extension has it's own circuit and consumer unit... though it ultimately comes off the same incoming supply as the original circuit.

Am I likely to be able to get a signal from an Adapter plugged in the old part of the house to an Adapter plugged in the extension?

If this is uncertain, is there any way I can test for connectivity before purchasing a starter pack.

G.

As I know, the connection between PLCs work in differernt circuits can be established, but the speed would be affected seriously. Maybe you can borrow some PLCs from your friend to test.
