Hi,

Wireless USB Adapter TL-WN8200ND comes with an 1.5m usb cable which is not enough for me.

When I try to extend it either using a 3m usb (mini) cable or a 3m extender, device goes crazy giving much less or no reception and it actually doesn't work.

Is this issue caused by the quality and length of (my new) usb cables? Is it normal or only my adapter has this issue?

Any idea?

THNX!

I finally found the issue's caused by quality of cable.

A good quality "Shielded" cable must be used, not necessarily expensive.

TP-Link cable: 1.5m, 28AWG/1P+28AWG/1C Shielded...etc. works fine.
My newest cable: 3m, 28AWG/1P+ 26AWG/1C Shielded...etc. works fine!
(26AWG/1C means thinner cable, transferring more power because of less resistance)

PS: I also suspect the driver (latest Oct. 2015, older drivers don't work) but I'm not able to prove it...
