Just bought a TD-W9980 on my Plusnet FTTC connection to replace the Openreach modem and Plusnet router combination as supplied by Plusnet.

All syncs and connects ok, and speed is as expected, but the internet connection drops out every 24/48 hours. The sync is still there - dsl light is on steady, but looking at the router status page it shows status of the WAN as "connecting". This seems to stay in this state for ever, unless I manually disconnect it and then connect it again, in which case it recovers.

Internet connection is set to "always on". Surely it should just re-connect by itself? As I said the sync is still ok, it just doesn't seem to reconnect automatically.

Previously the BT modem/Plusnet router combo had been up for the last 60 days without a single disconnect so it's not the line, this started happening the day I installed the TD-W9980.

Firmware Version:0.6.0 1.12 v0021.0 Build 150507 Rel.40130n

[B][B]Hardware Version:TD-W9980 v1 00000000

Hi,
Can you paste the log here and we'll check why it disconnect?
Please try to choose Connect manually and set idle time to 0.
Check if it could auto reconnect.
