Model : TL-WA860RE

Hardware Version : WA860RE v1.0 00000000

Firmware Version : 3.15.8 Build 150820 Rel.40814n

ISP :

Setting up my RE automatically changes from the default IP 192.168.0.254 to a random 192.168.0.xx
I'd like to set my RE to a static IP to prevent IP changes. But upon doing so, connection to both my router & internet fails.

But as I changed the wireless setting back to a dynamic random one, the connection started to work again.

My problem is really no biggie. But I don't like the little inconvenience this product gives me (since I either have to guess its IP or access my router's IP to view the current wireless clients and their corresponding IPs). Btw, my main router setting is a dynamic one. Since I've got visitors using my network and wouldn't want to set up an IP for each one. ;) Is this a product or consumer error? lol

After you set AP a static ip, don't forget the gateway. You would better disable the DHCP function when it is Auto by default. You could do that in DHCP Settings.
