Hi,
first post after just connecting new 9980 c/w latest firmware.
Made the change because of HH5 continually dropping out on Openbox but 9980 has
not solved the problem as it is still doing the same thing both on wi-fi and a TP
link power ethernet adaptor.
Connected 9980 via help line.
When doing diagnostic checks the 'ping default gateway' fails on both tests.
My sons PS4 advises that he is on a slow speed and he is not able to play game share.
Ipads & phones work OK
On open box and PS4 we are not able to connect to the 5ghz, it does not come up as an option only the 2ghz.
Any help/advice would be appreciated.
Cheers
Ray
PS I'm not to computer literate so need help as a novice

I have the same model, do you have both 5 and 2.4 ghz running? if so disable the 5Ghz which i have just done since smart tv and smart phones were always losing and receiving bad Wifi coverage, since then i now full bars and for 3 quarters of an hour hasn't dropped once,
if you can manage without the 5 ghz it has stopped me getting frustrated with constant wifi loss.

Thanks Turrel, have tried that and it so much better so far, let's hope it stays that way.
