Does Deco X55 work with VOIP phone requiring SIP configuration?
I think Deco X55 is very similar to X50 in terms of hardware. With my previous NBN FTTP home internet (in Sydney, Australia), I have three X55 mesh nodes around the house, in order to utilise my home analogue phone through VOIP, I just connect an old TP-Link Archer VR2100V modem/router with an Ethernet cable to one of the X55 mesh node, and the analogue phone works. But recently I switch my internet provider to another company (from Aussie Broadband to Leaptel), Leaptel's voip service is using its own SIP (session initiation protocol) configuration, despite 2 hours of telephone support from the technical support team from Leaptel, we just cannot set up its voip service using Leaptel's SIP configuration. Now I am thinking of another way to try: To purchase a ATA (analogue telephone adapter) e.g Grandstream HT802 to connect my analogue home phone to one of the X55 mesh nodes, will that work?
I have read another member here posted he couldn't get the Grandstream HT802 ATA to work with his home Deco BE65 mesh network.
Cheers.
