Hi,

I just purchased a TL-WR710 to use as a travel WiFi router, because I often have problems with the stability of hotel WiFi.
The router is sold as "Portable design, ideal for travel and home use", which I agree it is - except for one little detail; the plug.

The router comes with an exchangeable slide-in plug, but no way to purchase plug for other countries!? What am I supposed to do when I travel to the US? Use an additional plug converter? It will make it very bulky and prone to disconnecting from the leads in the wallsocket.

It would make sooooo much sense to either supply the router with 2-3 of the most common worldwide plugs used, or offer a travel-kit with all the plug types in it. At the very least, let me buy the plugs I need as spareparts thorugh TP-link somehow...

By the way, at first I thought, "no problem, I'll just use a standard 110V US power supply cable, with the standard IEC C8 plug, and I'm good to go" - But no. The socket in the router is NOT a standard IEC socket, TP-Link decided to block the use of standard cables, by making a proprietary socket/plug connector inside the exchangeable plug...

Please TP-Link, can you make this router truly "ideal for travel use".

BR Casper.

Hello, I have several WR710N that I use to extend wifi network. Since the plug connector is interchangeable, I would like, same as Casper, to buy only the power plug connector for europe, asia, UK, etc..
Is it possible to buy this only ?

Thank you

Regards
Marc

I would also very much like to know how I can find the US adaptor plug for this online or more specifically in Colombia (South America). It anyone could share with me a part number so that I may be able to search for it myself as well. Any help greatly appreciated.
