I'm using a Virgin Media superhub, in modem only mode, connected to an Archer C9. Also connected (via Powerline adaptors) is a W8970 - this is connected via one of its LAN ports.

The IP address of the Archer C9 is 192.168.1.1 and the IP address of the W8970 is 192.168.1.250

The Archer C9 "sees" the outside world and also has a WAN ip address. From the internet I can therefore see (via FTP) the harddrive that is connected to the Archer C9.

My question is this, how can I see the harddrive connected to the W8970 via ftp over the Internet? I've tried forwarding a port (12221) from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.250 port 21, but it doesnt seem to work - a port scanning website tells me that port 12221 is closed.

There must be a way to get two TP Link routers to talk to each other such that the harddrive on the second one can be seen over the Internet, but I just can't work it out!

Any help would be much appreciated.
