Hello, I have a TL-WA850RE out of the range from the wireless router, would it be possible to place a second TL-WA850RE inbetween the first one and the router , keeping both TL-WA850REs as accesspoints? if so, will it be a special configuration between both TL-WA850RE ?

As you say you want to place the new one inbetween connect the new one to the router as thats the closest and connect your old 850 to the new 850re ssid not the router.
Keep experimenting though.

Hi,

I did the same thing, except that I have a 855re connected to the main accesspoint with the name of xxx_EXT. Then I connected the 850RE to the 855RE's xxx_EXT. I made the the 850RE keep the xxx_EXT name. Everything is fine; I see that the 855RE has the 850RE as a client. I can also see the IP address it has in my accesspoint's web page. HOWEVER, I can no longer reach the 850RE via it's local ip address. How do I reach its admin page again??

Thanks

Hi,

I have connected a 855RE to my accesspoint and then connected an 850RE to the 855RE. The 855RE uses the xxx_EXT (for the accesspoint name of xxx) and the 850RE copies the xxx_EXT. Everything's fine in that I can see the 850 connected to the 855 in the 855's clients. I can also see the ip assigned to the 850 in my accesspoint routers admin page. HOWEVER, I can no longer access the admin page of the 850 by going to the local ip address assigned to the 850. How do I do that?

Main router/accesspoint (xxx) ------------------- 855RE (xxx_EXT) ------------------------- 850RE (xxx_EXT) -------------- clients

Thanks
