Configuring the Archer D7 to use the 5GHz frequency

I recently bought the dual band Archer D7 modem / router but cant anything that explains how to set it up to use the 5GHz channel. The available networks show the 2.4 GHz channel but not the 5 GHz channel. The network is used by other users at home and I need to set a couple of the laptops to the 5 GHz channel. Any help would be greatly appreciated
