I have a TP-WR841N Router. I would like to configure DNS entries, so that I can access the computers on my private network with their host name, rather then their IP address. The router can see all connected devices and even their host name, but I haven't found an option to add these to DNS. The only thing I found was to bind Mac adresses to ip adresses. This isn't good enough though. I want the Router to resolve a request to local computer with their host name to it's IP address. Is that possible? How can I do that?

The router can't work as a DNS server itself, but if you have setup another DNS server in your private network, you could set the ip address of your private dns server to the DHCP setting page of the router, so when the router's DHCP server assign ip address to your computers, it will give the private DNS server to them, and then the computers send DNS request your local private dns server. And your private DNS server should handle the work.
