Hi ,

I am not able to open the login page of my modem TP-Link W8951ND since the past few days. I have tried via several devices both with lan and wireless and I get this-
The connection has timed out

The server at 192.168.1.1 is taking too long to respond.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

If I ping 192.168.1.1 via cmd I am getting replies. Are there any troubleshooting steps that I should follow rather than resetting the modem?

Thanks

I have the same problem. Not sure what is wrong. I have tried the following
- Ping 192.168.1.1 --> able to receive replies
- DNS flush --> this didn't help either
- Disabling the firewall and anti virus --> problem remains

One resolution on Linksys community posts included forming a Telnet connection, but not sure if it would apply to TP Link as well.

Would like to highlight that I also have a TP link range extender, and I was able to access the router page before I setup the range extender
