first of all.....the 9970 is a good router.
hello everybody and......if possible......tp link guys.
dew to the increasing threats on routers.......
is it ok to keep port 23,telnet open??
i have the latel firmware: 161111
*this is a privet router,NOT ISP!!!!!!!!!!
please help on how to block this port.
BTW....
i have checked my network with nmap a several others network tools.

Maybe you have a right in this case I don't have possibility to check it. Have you tried switch off remote access?

I don't have more ideas in your case. Please ask about it TP-link support in your country.

is the tplink local management webpage uses telnet to configure the router?
is that the reason why the port is open?
i am asking because telnet isn't the safest thing in world
