Dear Community,

after browsing the web and different forums, I though starting another thread here. I've got a very strange Problem with the listed Wi-Fi-Router. The router itself works perfectly without issues or downtimes, BUT when I log into my Wi-Fi-Network with my new notebook the WHOLE network (both wireless and non-wireless) crashes within two minutes and needs to be manually restarted by unplugging the device. This only happens to my notebook and this is the only network for my notebook not able to have proper connection. I even tried another same model of this notebook from store and it did not work either. Because of this, I personally think that something must be broken with my router configs. Because after resetting both notebook and router it still won't work at all. Maybe there is a special option I'm not aware of. Note that I'm not an expert with network administration. What I tried so far is: Resetting both notebook and router, testing other networks and devices without problems. Notebook-IP options switch and /ipconfig via Windows command. This is really annoying, because I cannot use my notebook for working in my house and thus I'm basically crippled.

Another question I have for this device is whether it is capable of increasing the range of my main router. Currently, I'm using two wireless networks in my house. The main router's network and the TL-WR840N's network. Am I able to make it a combined one? If yes, please be so kind and explain it to me.

I'm glad for any help and suggestions I can get. And excuse me, if I'm using the wrong terms for specific information. I'm from Germany and our terms might be a bit different over here.

Kind Regards,

Wick
