Hi,
I am unable to use the TP Link TL-WN722N v 2.0 adapter on my Kali 2.0 Linux Machine. The adapter is not detected on Linux machine. Also, no linux drivers are available from TP Link on its official Indian site for V 2.0. For v1.0 of the adapter, everything works fine. Please help me with resolving this issue. The Manufacturer is shown as Realtek in dmesg command.

Same here man:( .
But I got some drivers from TP LINK themselves at: http://www.tp-link.com/en/download/TL-WN722N.html#Driver
But I'm unaware how to install it since I'm a beginner at Linux.
If you are familiar with installing drivers in Linux, please help me install it.

Hi all, I've got drivers for Linux v2.0 for Europe. I'm able also to install for Kali Linux, however when I'm trying to put as monitor mode I get some different errors depending on the command used. Most commonly error shown is:
iwconfig wlan0 mode monitor
Error for wireless request "Set Mode" (8B06) :
SET failed on device wlan0 ; Operation not permitted.
I suspect that drivers are not properly hardcoded to be active in monitor mode by default. I would expect someone can be able to offer some help on:
1) Which file on drivers folder should be changed before re-install drivers to get monitor mode active?.
2) I assume that this model can be able to work in monitor mode, this is reason I bought this model.

Had same issue, and I have solved it. I have ported official driver which was prepared for Linux Kernel 2.6.18~3.19.3 to work on 4.9 kernel (tested on 4.9.0-kali3-amd64).

Hello,
Have you managed to get airmon-ng to work with these drivers?
I have tried all of them but when i run airmon-ng in a terminal it shows ????? under the driver. Later on i cannot enable the monitor mode. Is there any other solution?? I bought TpLink Wn722n just because they said that it is the best wifi dongle to have with kali linux but i was unlucky enough to receive the V2 instead of V1.
