TP-Link WN822N v4.0 will not connect
Model :
Hardware Version :
Firmware Version :
ISP :
I am unable to connect to an open Wifi with my TP-Link WN822N on my Windows 10 Dell laptop. The laptop built in wifi connects no problem. When I attempt to connect to the open wifi with the TP-Link WN822N it won't connect and the wifi indicator shows "no internet, open" When I installed the TP-Link WN822N I did so with the included CD.
When I run the Network Diagnostic it tells me that "Wifi 2" (the TP-Link WN822N) does not have a valid IP configuration (IPv4 and DNS are set to obtain automatically)
I have tried the following:
- uninstalled the driver and re-installed the newest driver off the website
- used the Windows troubleshooter]
- turned off Windows Firewall
- disabled and subsequently fully removed Kaspersky Anti-Virus
Nothing I have tried will allow me to successfully connect to this open wifi with the TP-Link WN822N.
