Unable to SSH out via router
Hardware Version :
Firmware Version :
ISP :
I've checked two laptops and its not SSH on those, but an issue with the router (VR2600 latest firmware 1.4.x).
Can anyone help? Not being able to SSH out is quite frankly one of the worst things ever and I may need to return this for a grown up router ASAP :)
Any help appreciated, Lloyd.

Resolved: I contacted TP-Link support who provided me with 1.5 beta firmware that fixes the issue.
Which date was this beta released ?

I believe it's a bug in the router's firmware due to being unable to handle a change in the IP ToS parameter which SSH does after authentication.
Until TP-Link fix their dodgy routers, there is a hackish workaround posted at
https://serverfault.com/a/692669/96883
I could get it working by configuring my client with IPQoS=0, see link above.
Be great to fix this in the router as there are other cases where this workaround does not work. (SSH in via port forward)

I also can't use my mobile via wifi using this router, and frequently the internet connection will drop (wifi connection ok).
For a 'pro' router this thing is absolutely dreadful, the product is awful. As soon as I've got a set of mesh wifi access points for the house I'll be switching back to the stock router provided by my ISP and dumping this thing.

@lloydwatkin Hello I have one year later the same issue on a 4G LTE 150 Mbps WiFi 300 Mbps
M7200 : Unable to SSH out via a Wifi router
The Firmware Version: 2.0.3 Build 190802 Rel.1003n
Through the http://tplinkmifi.net or http://192.168.0.1/ interface I even cannot access the Firmware update via Update via the cloud server as I get a Server error, please try again later.
After struggling to get through the support web site (quite bad UX), I found the latest firmware M7200(EU) 3.0_3.0.2 Build 201023 Rel.1003n_User, I installed : but again an error : Update failed. The update file is not suitable for the current firmware.
Is this normal to get all this difficulties on a product that should be simple and foolproof ?
Very disappointing, I feel like returning the product. I will do it if I can find a solution. What a waste of time.
