TL-WN822N is not detecting a network that my laptop detects

So, I got the TL-WN822N adapter due to severe issues in my laptop's built-in network card. Now, the adapter detects all networks that my laptop detects already and even more, except for one network which is the one I've been using. I've tried disabling the built-in network adapter and forgetting the network from my laptop hoping that my TL-WN822N adapter would finally be able to detect it, but to no avail. I'd be very grateful for any help. Thanks
