TL-1043ND v1 - low download speed on ethernet

I have a TL-1043ND v1 router for a few years and so far I was fully satisfied.
Recently I changed internet provider. Now I have fiber connection 250MBit download / 25MBit upload.
When I connect my MacBook (with gigabit ethernet card) by ethernet cable directly to Nokia modem and I test the connection speed on speedtest.net the results are close to 250MBit / 25MBit.
But when I connect modem to TL-1043ND v1 router, and then to MacBook, upload is ok, about 25MBit, but download is only about 110 MBit.
Does anyone know why the speed is so low?
