Is there a tp-link product, some sort of portable wifi access point, that would allow the user to create a wireless network without internet connection? All the use cases I can find are for access points to the internet.
For example it would allow a laptop with wifi to run a server, and another device with wifi to connect to it - so the device would have to work as a network router, assigning IP addresses. I'm imagining something that can be powered by usb.
I think it might be possible for a PC to be configured as a wifi access point in 'infrastructure mode' so a network device wouldn't be necessary, but can't find info.
