Archer t2u on windows 10

In order to reduce cable clutter around the house I got an Archer T2U. The PC is brand new and running win10. I installed the drivers from the website since I do not have a dvd drive. Anyway, after some initial connectivity issues I managed to obtain a stable connection. However, the speed is way below ISP and adapter possibilities, hovering around 1-2 Mbps. It is deffinetly not a router issue as all other devices on it work fine (PS4, smart TV, various smartphones). The same is true for the PC when connected via Lan.I tried reinstalling the drivers, resetting the router, changing dns settings, flushing dns cache and basically everything I could find. So yeah.. please help.
