i think you can have a try , i checked the firmware release note which include some IPTV related information. but can't sure it will solve your problem or not.

that's the problem, the plc detect there is power in the cable, it will not go to sleep.

if so , i think you don't need take time on the wps button, you can login on the 281 management page and configure the wireless parameters manually : same ssid and pwd with router
