TP Link T1600G-18TS and ISP default Router with DHCP enabled on router help
I recently changed my network so my router which has DHCP enabled using IP's in the range of 192.168.1.1 > 192.168.1.254 IP address's. My router has address of 192.168.1.254.
The router is directly connected to my new switch in which multiple devices are plugged into the switch. The switch is T1600G-18T.
Now everything works perfect, good speeds, internet etc. However, i just cannot access the default GUI for the switch, according to the instructions this should be 192.168.0.1.
I believe the reason i cannot access the GUI is because it is on a different network. I did attempt to change my router to have IP range between 192.168.0.1 > 192.168.0.254 but this just stopped everything from working and resulted in me resetting my router.
When i run IP scanner on my PC connected to the switch with the router turned off the switch 'does' assign out IP address's. However, even using this method i was unable to acccess the switch GUI.
I attempted connected via putty to my NAS and running command traceroute mac ip 192.168.1.112 192.168.1.254 but this command gives an error of extra argument. Doing a tracert on IP's does not show the switch (i believe this is because it is on a different network layer).
Anyone got any ideas on how i may resolve this? My end goal is to access the switch and set up link aggregation between the switch and my NAS.
Thanks in advance
Kind Regards
Paul
