Model: EAP225
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 2.1.0 and 2.3.0

I am a networking novice.

I have set up a number of new EAP225's as standalone.  I have downloaded the controller software and also the mobile app.  I can see the AP's as pending on both.  My Win 10 PC is connected to switch by ethernet.  When I try to adopt the APs, I get "Failed to send adopt message to AP". When i click retry, I get sign on box.  I then use Admin in both boxes  and either get Invalid Request Parameters or Username and Password are Invalid.  I have reset the AP's a few times from the mobile app and set up new user names and password for them on the mobile app to try and use them to adopt.  Same outcomes  I just can't seem to find a way through.

I am clearly missing something.

In addition I have found it impossible to access Tplinkeap.net to get any firmware updates if required.

Thx for taking the time to read.

Dear @Velocette,

When I try to adopt the APs, I get "Failed to send adopt message to AP".

If you get the error "Failed to send adopt message to AP", it means that the communication between EAP and Omada Controller is blocked. Please check the suggestions below and check if that helps.

1) To make sure the Omada EAP is accessible, please ping the IP address of EAP on the PC that the Omada Controller is installed.

2) If you have VLAN settings in your network, please make sure the EAP and Omada Controller belong to the same VLAN.

3) Omada Controller communicates with Omada EAP via TCP/UDP port 29810-29813. Some anti-virus programs or firewalls may block this kind of packets. You can disable the anti-virus or firewalls (on the PC that the Omada Controller is installed) in your network first for checking. If it works, please open TCP/UDP port 29810-29813 in the anti-virus/firewalls.
