Model: TL-ER6120
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 3.0.2 Build 20200313 Rel.47458

Hail Folks,

On this pandemic period we've bought some TL-ER6120 for VPN use, the setup has been done without any trouble or difficult, but when I set it up on my Windows (home client - VPN users) using L2TP I have a lot of issue with route. I have other router ER6120 with V2 and there i got the same issue, the clients must to reconnect several time to get the route, we're using loal gateway (the flag on use remote gateway is disabled on windows VPN connection IPV4), is very rare when clients get route on the first connection, this is my first issue (also, I've tried to se using CMD route add blablabla... but it MUST to work properly without any Pyrotechnics). As is on I.e: Openvpn.

2nd: After the last firmware update, I'm able to use only the 1st connection as incoming VPN link, if I try to use the 2nd ISP link, the connection doesn't work at all, just if I force connect on the second link using (connect bottom), but after sometime it's stop to work and get back to 1st preferential link, It's very useful to me to receive VPN clients in multiple link, because I can balance the load of traffic using 2 or 3 links.

If someone can help me, I will appreciate a lot.

Thanks in advance,

Luiz

Dear @Theonebr,

Do you mean that you need to reconnect the VPN connection several times to get the windows clients connected over VPN?

Where did you check the route, on the Windows Client or on the Router page?

How about if you check "Use Default Gateway on Remote Network" on the windows client?

2nd: After the last firmware update, I'm able to use only the 1st connection as incoming VPN link, if I try to use the 2nd ISP link, the connection doesn't work at all, just if I force connect on the second link using (connect bottom), but after sometime it's stop to work and get back to 1st preferential link, It's very useful to me to receive VPN clients in multiple link, because I can balance the load of traffic using 2 or 3 links.

Did you configure the Link Backup function on the router?

Please kindly note that the TP-Link VPN router doesn't support Link Backup over VPN for the time being.
