Repeated devices disconnect
I've added this WAP to my home recently and I am very satisfied with it so far. But I did notice something in the Omada alerts which shows the message that my EAP245 was disconnected.
Can someone explain what is meant by "disconnected"? What are my troubleshooting options?
Thanks!

Hey
Disconnected means its lost the connection to the OC200 in some way
This could be caused by a bad connection cable, rebooting, power issue or the switch between then dropping connection.
Is the device running POE from a switch? if so check if the switch reported a drop on the port at that time or see if the switch rebooted. If not I would look at the cable connecting the EAP245 or any power injectors you have running.
I have a 20008P switch and 2x EAP245 APs, these only disconnect when the switch reboots.. namely rarely.

@Philbert ok, that makes sense because my window 10 computer won't stop going to sleep at night even though I turned off that option many times. Thanks Microsoft for allowing multiple ways to make my computer to go to sleep. It's messing up with my home automation as well.
Thanks!

Ah you are running a software controller on your PC.. that makes sense now
You might be interested in the OC200 controller, its pretty cheap and does the job well.
Ideally you dont want your APs losing connection to the controller too often as they may drop any WiFi device when doing that,

I use caffeine.exe or similar to keep all of my PC's awake for that very reason.
