Firmware Version:

Hi! I have a network of Deco M5 and P7. Now I want to connect a charging station (for electric car). This station has its own network which, as far as I understand, should be able to connect to my existing network. The station´s network finds my network but it can´t connect. Error message: "Cannot find access point". The support people of the charging station told me that I should use only 2,4 GHz, which is OK, and that port 80 must be open. I guess it´s possible to open this port using the Deco app, but I don´t know how to do this.

@TP-Link

I tried this but it didn´t work. Then I found a troubleshooting guide at tplink.com with a suggestion to check the IP address of the device. It was static, when I changed this the charging station was able to connect. Thanks!

@SvenB

HI, please refer to this link to open the ports on Deco:

https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/1797/

By the way, may I know the model number of your charging station?

Thank you very much.

@TP-Link

The charging station is Charge Amps´s Halo Wallbox 11 kW.

I tried to set up this port forwarding, but what about Internal IP? Is that the IP of the charging station?

@SvenB

yes.

And I searched for the user manual of the Charge Amps Halo, I did not see any instructions mentioned for port forwarding.

https://www.chargeamps.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Installationmanual_ChargeAmpsHalo_en.pdf

In case it is not working, please also try to turn off the firewall on the Deco M5 in case it blocked the cloud connection;

Thank you.
