Model: Archer AX50
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

So my question concerns the green square area. Can I connect the base unit to the router via Ethernet, and then have the two satellite units be wireless?

I should add that TP LINK have said this is possible.

However, it is unclear whether that internet symbol is the modem or cable from the wall and the router is a modem/router combo that ISPs hand out.

  @Sethiest

You should be able to do the connection in question as described in the TP-Link guide.

You may also read through this guide and pay attention to the red notes for different scenarios.
