ER605 Disconnects
Hello, I'm having issues with my router disconnecting from my network on a regular basis. The disconnects don't seem to cause connectivity issues for clients or other Omada switches or APs at first but eventually, the whole network falls apart unless I reboot the router. Today I encountered the issue and it seems the router is disconnecting every hour at the same time. Any ideas on what might be causing this issue?

@caramb are these running connected to a controller? In my experience I've had my router quit talking to the controller but it will still route properly, at least for a while.

I'm having the same problem and it's been off and on for at least 9 months. 605 v1 and OC200 v1. Both with latest firmware.
But at my daughter's house with the same hardware and firmware I've never had the problem.

Hello,
My r605v1 & r605v2 are both managed by the Omada SDN controller.
Last time the r605v2 hanged, I sniffed the network trafic on my laptop and did not see any packet ; making me think it stopped forwarding traffic.
Never had the issue with my r605v1.
As I rollbacked to the r605v1, the r605v2 is in my homelab.
It is up for 16 days now without any hang in a very simple setup.
The issue does not seem to be related to bandwidth as I ran a 24 hours sustained 100Mb/s test and another at 200Mb/s.
As of now I did not find the condition that triggers the issue ; I can't even reproduce the issue.
I see 3 possible root causes left :
1) Environment (temperature/heat, EMI).
2) Configuration complexity (my "reallife" setup has much more vlan interfaces, managed devices and so on).
3) Traffic patterns (may be related to some specific frames ; printers and other devices sometimes use unusual protocols, Ethernet broadcasts, legacy protocols, etc.)
Will try to dig further...

@caramb this is a long shot but could this be IPv6 related?
In other words does your homelab maybe not use IPv6 or has a different IPv6 config than your main network?
I had daily disconnects on my ER605v2 and then I changed the IPv6 configuration from "Pass-through" to "DHCP/SLAAC", which is probably what it should be, and the issues seem to have gone away, at least on a daily basis. I wasn't able to run any long term test as this is also a test lab setup that I playing around with at the moment.

@Lurk 2 WAN 2 providers are used. It is used in the 50:50 balancing mode. If 1 WAN disappears, then the ENTIRE network disappears, ping does not go, etc. Literally for 2 minutes, then everything is restored. Should the connection be lost? The whole point of balancing disappears. And it is both WANs that disappear when the first WAN is working, the Gateway 192.168.0.1 does not even ping....Is it normal?

Bought a brand new v2 it was fine for a few days then started with the connected notifications. It appears that nothing actually goes down which is good but the every hour connections are worrisome. I also updated to the new firmware 2.1.1 and no changes.
I have FIOS so no IPv6 so that's not the issue as someone suggested. I also don't see any pattern to the connections seems completely random. So far this has been a poor experience.
