Dear,

I recently bought a wifi-router of type: TP-Link Archer C6 - Wireless Router - 1200 Mbps - black (different from what I specified above).

Now I am having an issue relating to the range of the wifi.

My Router is installed next to my other (internet provider) router at the top of our house. Now we want to have wifi in our garden/terras but unfortunately the wifi is not found here.

Does anyone has any suggestions on how we can improve the range ? (e.g. should we have another type of router, could we use some kind of amplifier, or can I put the router somewhere else not connected to the internet provider router ?).

Thank you already for the help ! :)

  @Devondeling

You can use your Archer C6 in AP mode, following this guide (Case 1) and placing it closer to your garden/terras.

The top of your house you could be covered by your ISP provided router wireless signal (if it's capable to do this).

Thus, you'll move away the devices and reduce the wireless interference between them, while extending the wireless covergage across your home.
