How to ensure that the login password is not incorrect?

If you can't see what you're typing, open a notepad and enter the administrative password there, then copy/paste it in the router's login page.

If you forgot the administrative password just reset the device (Method 1) to its factory defaults and then re-configure the router from scratch.
