Model: EAP225-Outdoor
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Two EAP225-outdoor connected to mesh with OC200 controler. Band steering is prefered 5GHz.

Problem the clents connect to the 2.4GHz radio and not to the 5GHz radio.

I would like the clients to connect to the 5GHz radio.

Who to do this.

Thanks

  @wd5dgt

Are the clients capable of 5.8G wifi, and are your SSID(s) defined with both 2.4 and 5.8 bands?

Does anything connect at 5.8?

Clients are cell phones with 2.4GHz and 5GHz capability, they only connect to the 2.4GHz radio on the eap225.

Only one SSID

Thanks

  @wd5dgt

Disable the 2.4G radio in your SSID, do clients connect when 5.8G is only option?

Hi @wd5dgt

Could you also try to change the 5GHz channel to 36-48 (band 1), will your device be able to connect to the SSID? Please set the SSID in 5GHz only to make the test.
