Hello,

I have tplink AX1800. I’ve discovered that my Nintendo switch can't connect to the internet via WIFI connection through the router. wired connecting perfectly. When I try to connect to hotspot via my cellphone the Nintendo connects via wifi so it's not an issue on the Nintendo. On the other side, all other devices on my wifi network are working amazingly via the router so no faults on the router side as well. When I switch to manual configuration and set a static IP on the Nintendo I see that it connects to the local network but won't connect to the internet.

Already tried with no success:
1. Change wifi security encryption type
2. Change the Wi-Fi channel on the router to 1, 6, or 11 on the 2.4 GHz band.
3. Static IP Configuration
4. UPnP is enabled

5. No mac filtering on my router

I wonder if this issue persists on other tplink+nintendo users and if there is a known workaround.

  @terziyski hi

I'm really sorry but I figured out the issue now.  My Nintendo MAC address was black listed. All is working now as I removed that from the list.  Thanks for your help !!

A Parental Controls configuration can cause this issue - details.

From your second screenshot is visible that you haven't connected to your router Wi-Fi.

Get rid of the Static IP Configuration (check this post) and try again.

  @terziyski i've deleted the registered networks completely so it will obtain the ip address automatically via DHCP server for both my 2.4 and 5 wifi networks. But still Nintendo switch is not connecting to the tplink wifi network.

the difference between the 2 screenshots above is originated by the static ip. When there is static ip nintendo "think" it is connected to the local network. But looking on the router clients via tplink Tether app I dont see the nintendo so I won't count on the illustration so much.

any other ideas?

Well, that was the last thing that I would guess - a blacklisted device. It's good that you've checked the Access Control as well.
