Hi guis,

is there an online monitor diagram with expanded information on the load on the internet
connection by individual network devices in the omada SND?

Hi  @AngelK

In the Omada SDN system, there is a certain level of network device load monitoring functionality, but the specific form may not be a traditional online monitor diagram with highly expanded information in the way you might expect. The Omada SDN controller software usually provides a dashboard view. On this dashboard, you can get an overview of the network topology, and there are also widgets that display relevant information such as the traffic status of the wired and wireless networks in the site, including aspects like traffic statistics, the most active devices, and ISP load. The ISP load information may give you a general understanding of the overall load on the network connection to a certain extent. However, for more detailed and expanded information on the load of individual network devices in real time with a comprehensive online monitor diagram specifically focused on this aspect, the Omada SDN may not provide an extremely detailed and highly customizable one by default.

Am I the only one who wants to quickly and easily identify which device is currently using too much downstream or upstream bandwidth in order to potentially take action?
In most cases, you don't even need to look at a diagram to see if the connection to the ISP is fully utilized — you can already feel it.
In these moments, you want to find out which device is clogging the connection and immediately take countermeasures.
However, without a proper way to determine this, the process becomes very difficult and time-consuming.

Hi  @AngelK

You can go to the Device page, click Action, and choose these options to display on the column:

Yes, no, maybe...
It was the wrong page, but it almost put me on the right track. It's not about the devices, but the clients.
In certain cases, you might be able to identify a potential culprit by displaying the "Activity Download Speed" column.
I have no idea how up-to-date the displayed data is, but it's a start...
Thank you.
