Unable to activate OWE on EAP610/650
Hi
I tried to create GUEST network with OWE but the SSID is broadcasted without OWE.
I forgot one AP and tried to configure GUEST on 2.4 and 5Ghz SSID and same thing, despite OWE checkbox enabled, the SSID is broadcasted without OWE.
I have this issue on all EAP6x0 of my network

Hi @mixman68
Opportunistic Wireless Encryption attempts to automatically enable encryption when two encryption-enabled wireless devices are connected. For example, in an open Wi-Fi network environment, if both client devices are encryption-enabled, they will negotiate an encryption key during the communication process, thus opening an encrypted channel to protect the data transfer. It's a bit like two devices that can speak the same ‘crypto language’ discovering that they both have the ability to do so, and then start communicating in that crypto language!
Can the clients connect to the OWE SSID?
Do the wireless clients support OWE?
How did you find that the SSID is broadcasted without OWE.?
Please give us more details about the situation.

Issue solved itself, i restarted each eap and now it is OK i have a new SSID in beacon trame _owe3_GUEST and if i join the net with iOS, the association is OK on _owe3_GUEST (despite the system diag show connection on GUEST only in diag file) and the traffic is not lisible anymore.
Thanks @Vincent-TP for the help

my device is a iPhone 14 Pro, maybe the device forget to begin the exchange ?

Hi @mixman68
If that's the case, we recommend submitting a support ticket via email for efficient assistance.
Please include the following information in the email:
1. this Forum ID 732074;
2. community nickname;
3. a screenshot of your controller's device page;
4. when you dumped trames, which EAP is the iPhone connecting to?
5. the dumped trames results you got.
Happy New Year!

what firmware and hardware version do you have on your access points, you type EAP650v1 with version 1.3.0 so there is something wrong. that version does not exist.
if you upgrade to the latest version then OWE is supported on EAP650v1, on EAP650v2 it does not look like there is support.
EAP610 has support for OWE on v1 v2 v3. you have to upgrade and look at the release note.
