Model: EAP245
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 5.0.6

Hi,

I got a EAP245(EU) v3.0 connected to an omada controller OC200.

When I go to devices under the site view it shows me that all my devices are up to date.

But under the Global View -> Firmware -> One-Time Upgrade it shows me an upgrade available for my EAP245(EU)

But when search for this release 5.2.0 Build 20240914 Rel. 59923 on the support webpage, this version doesn't show up for the EU versions

https://support.omadanetworks.com/uk/product/eap245/v3/?resourceType=download

it only seems to be available for the US version of the WAP.

Is the update showing on my omada controller a EU version?

Why does it only show under one-time upgrade and is it safe to upgrade the firmware?

Thanks

  @ArtVandelay

I noticed the same thing.  The site page says that 5.0.6 Build 20220429 Rel. 44315 is up to date even though its ancient.  I just assumed there has been no firmware updates for several years until I clicked on the One-Time upgrade, in reality Omada just wasn't notifying me.

Looks to me like some kind of bug in the Omada management software specifically for the EAP245.  Other devices on my network are updated normally.

@saratoga

Did you click the button to check? Will the firmware show up?

  @Vincent-TP I did click the button but it does not detect the firmware update.  I pushed it 5 or 6 times to be sure.

  @Vincent-TP  Sorry, I already updated it using the One Time Update function (did not want to leave it many version out of date longer than needed) so I can't check anything now.  It was set to stable however.
