Connect to router or managed switch?

Model: OC200
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Migrating to OPNSense router, and limited ports. Current setup OC200 is connected to router, but no available port on the OPNSense box.

Am I setting myself up for problems if the OC200 is connected to a switch it manages? If the switch is upgraded and rebooted, OC200 will go offline..

Thoughts?

No, this is fine.  For most people, they dont have a router with POE to power the OC200 anyway so are using POE injector or POE switch anyway

OC200 handles being rebooted when. switch power cycles just fine.

Thanks, was using a POE injector with my old router, but I'll use up a POE port on my sg2210mp instead.
